“Home”, the album’s title track, is the singer’s self-penned song. It is a folk tune with the message of consolation through the lyrics of the song, “I see your sad back hidden behind the flashy lights and busy schedules”, “When I hear your footsteps, greeting you with a smile”, and “Are you feeling sick anywhere? Was it hard? Don’t worry about me, I just need you to be okay. When your heart is aching, when no one is there for you, just come here”
I wanted to share this album with everyone since it was released but I got no chance and contemplated to do so since the fever has gone down. But after listening to it again this evening, my heart tells me “come on tomorrow marks exactly a month after the release let Roy’s album grace my blog entries as a month anniversary” hahaha. Yeap here it is.. 🙂
I like.. no I love Roy’s voice. It’s vintage. Well.. that’s how I feels. Whenever I listened to his songs (particularly in this album) I always imagining I am on a road trip to somewhere peace with loved one. Wow.. in dream huh. His voice is so soothing and calm and warm, peaceful like urghhh so much love for this man. Suit autumn very well. Travel is my eternal dream and I would love to have a road trip with the loved one someday in my life and I’ll make sure I take his album with me. 🙂

“This song was written in the perspective of my 14-year-old friend Sancho (his companion dog). I’ve been happy thanks to him who has waited for me at the door of my house whatever happens to me. As I do, everyone of you might have someone like Sancho. I have nothing but gratitude, hearing people came to know how much such beings mean to them through my music.”
I got to say I was very excited when the teaser came out. I got goosebumps whenever I played the video. Kudos to whoever responsible behind the scenes. “Home” is a very good song.
Released on October 8th 2014, Roy brought home 2 crowns each from M-Countdown and Music Core. Congratulations! Thanks for the album Sangwoo-yaa (banmal ㅋㅋㅋ) Looking forward to hear more of your soothing voice in the next album! 🙂
