I posted a REVIEW about episode 27-28 a few days ago. At that time I didn’t know Raehwan (BIGSTAR) were enlisted! I notice on instagram they bid goodbye to him. Ouh! He must’ve had the plan in his mind all along. Seems like if he didn’t make it to the end, he would enlist in the army.. No wonder Feeldog mentions his name on ep27. I first saw Seyong’s post about him enlisting, and then saw Euijin’s, Feeldog’s etc.. arghh THE UNIT is so family-ish.. I love this!

Before enlisting, he had a fanmeet with his friends and fans. Im Junhyuk were also there played the piano for him. Let’s see what his friends say upon his enlistment 🙂

Euijin, Chaejin, Jun etc. were also sending farewell message hoping he’ll return safely. 🙂

Then Feeldog posted two videos on instagram showing Unit B Team Black and Blue bidding him farewell

“Rae!Hwan!Come!Back!Safe!ly! You’re surprised right? hehehehe These many people are supporting you !”

“You’re surprised right, Raehwan? hehehehe Don’t forget that you’re a person who is acknowledged and loved wherever you go. You’ve worked hard!!!!”

Then I saw his handwritten letter left on BIGSTAR’s fancafe on Feb 2nd, 2018.

“I will be enlisting on February 5. First of all, I am fine. More importantly, I’m most worried that our fans will be surprised and might have a harder time while feeling hurt.”

“I was taken aback because I suddenly received my enlistment notice while I was very busy filming for ‘The Unit.’ However, I did not want to neglect my scheduled activities in front of me, and I wanted to hold on to all the moments that could have been the last. ‘The Unit’ is neither a failure, or just another good memory to me. I was able to meet you all more frequently on a closer level, and above anything, I was able to show the sincerity of my singing. I am going to keep on singing.”

“My enlistment is not the end. Don’t be too sad, and let’s say goodbye while smiling. Time will pass by quicker than we think. If you wait, I will return with good music worth that wait in order to repay you. I really love you.” – translated by Soompi

awww does he foresee his result on THE UNIT? What if he managed to moving up… By the time I’m writing this he’s already serving his mandatory service. He entered the 22nd Division in Goseong County, Gangwon Province and will serve in the reserve forces after 5 weeks of basic training. Goodbye Raehwan! Comeback safely, and manly. See you in two years!

Raehwan was gone, the guys now is just 2 days away from final stage. What are they doing in the mean time?

Jungha is enjoying his hobby. He can be a cook! it looks so visually yummeh. and.. ya know.. he can get married already. who’s the lucky wifey!?

I’m so glad to be able to see them on social media while waiting for new episode. This is another reason why I love this program. It’s not as strict as PD101 S2, they have time off to commit to their schedule, even when there’s a trace of the so-called evil editing, they just play with it (Seyong was referred as devil due to this and he was like “yeah yeah i’m the devil” and they take it openly), and it’s so heartwarming to see their relationship with each other — rather a competitor, they are like a family. 🙂
